A prominent corner site in Cathedral Square provided the location for an office building with ground floor retail and banking facilities and full basement parking. The site posed many challenges including height controls, and design and appearance requirements. The design is broken up with design elements that diminish the scale allowing the building to relate to a setting that is essentially a pedestrian precinct. Splayed corners of the building provide a softening effect and at the same time promote the buildings function.
